suckerPUNCH

Another midnight showing went down last Wednesday with my friend Josh and his bro! I have been planning to see this film for a really long time! Sucker Punch:
I was most interested to see how Zack Snyder mixed in Emily Browning with his filmmaking and I was pleasantly surprised. Emily Browning was stunning, sexy, and beautiful! No homo ;) every other actress did really well. My favorite part was definitely the musical choices between and during scenes. Super fun! Anyway, I enjoyed myself. Go watch it!

An Alien Named Paul

This past Thursday I decided to take an adventure to Denton with my good pals Kevin, Aisha, Sheridan (sister), and Josh to go see the midnight showing of PAUL!

I was laughing practically the entire film! This is definitely on my "BUY ME" list and I cannot wait to see it again. Incredibly hilarious at the very least! Seeing Seth Rogen as an alien was a really different and incredible way to see him perform his epic comedic skills. I would suggest this movie to anyone!

Beauty and the Beastly

I almost forgot about me going to see Beastly with Elizabeth this past Thursday!
Probably the one thing I most liked about this film was the way they portrayed Alex as the beast. He was the coolest looking beast I ever did see! Definitely a little bit of a different take on the original story and it was a bit cheesy for my liking but I still fairly enjoyed the film. If you like sappy love stories, go for it. ;)

Red Cloaks and Bank Robbers

Tonight I hung out with my friend Tanner Green once again and we decided to do a double feature! This time beginning with a very familiar childhood story - Red Riding Hood
I think I still feel kind of indifferent about this film, but I definitely can say that it kept me guessing the entire time. It definitely was a nice new spin on the original story but I'm not really sure that I liked all the "sex appeal" that went along with the storyline. Like with Red Riding Hood having to decide which guy to go to. The guy that cares for her and had been chosen to marry her, or the guy she's been in love with her whole life who kind of makes stupid decisions. I also didn't guess who was the real wolf at the end. Can you?

Afterward, we went and got some root beer at Walmart and wanted to get a redbox to go with it but unfortunately neither of us could use our debit cards and he had a decent movie at home that's called - The Town.
This movie I had already seen a few months back but that was before I decided to blog movie critiques. I honestly think Blake Lively went unnoticed in this movie via the film critics. I honestly believe that she deserved a Supporting Role nomination at the Academy Awards. She did absolutely great! However Jon Hamm did a great job as well and got noticed by the Academy and was nominated for his Supporting Role. I thought this film was fairly well put together and had really beautiful music, especially the end credits song, which I still can't find to this day. Help me out? The beginning of it was a little slow but if you can get through it, you'll have no problem getting through the rest. :)

RANGO

Last Saturday I hung out with my friend Tanner Green and watched Rango!
This movie was so fun! I loved everything about his bright red hawaiian shirt and his fake friends. So cute and Johnny Depp did pretty awesome for the voice of a lizard! And I couldn't get over the owl band that took you through the storyboard of the whole film. Adorable <3

Tubes and Drugs

Monday night of this week was yet another night of freedom to do whatever I wanted since I didn't have school till 3:30 the next day and no plans for the morning, so I decided to put in my netflix movie I got in the mail over the weekend called Requiem for a Dream.
This film was probably the most intense movie that I have seen in an extremely long time. If the thought of doing any sort of drugs or heroine ever crossed your mind, PLEASE watch this film. You will never get near the stuff or touch the stuff. This movie really blew my mind. I loved the cinematography. It achieved all of what it was supposed to in my mind with the story. Conveying that disgusting need to shoot up was extremely visible through the eye of the camera. Very well done. And on a side note, Jared Leto is such a babe! ;)

Also, last night I re-watched The Social Network and tonight I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 for the seventh time! And that was my last time seeing it before it releases on DVD on April 15th. Over a month without Harry?? What will I do?! ;)

Toodle-oo!
