The Infinite Playlist!

Last night, I was cleaning my house for my Harry Potter DVD release party and had decided to put in a favorite of mine that I had purchased that day called Nick and Norah's Inifinite Playlist.
Such a cute movie <3 I can honestly say that when I first watched this movie I wasn't necessarily impressed but when I rewatched it about a year ago, I really enjoyed it and its been on my "Purchase" list for a good while and I'm so happy I decided to buy it! Norah cracks me up and she kind of reminds me of myself in a weird way. Go watch this!

Hanna and The Roommate

Yet another midnight showing! Aaaaaaand you guessed it! With my boy Josh! This time, we watched Hanna!
Judging by the moviefone app, the critics really enjoyed this movie and would recommend it, but unfortuantely, this critic says, "Meh. Not so much." I could have possibly hyped myself up to seriously want this movie to be absolutely great and spectacular just because I adore Saoirse Ronan, but the ending seriously killed it for me. The build up and story line was really great until it sort of left you hanging at the very end, and to me, the ending is EVERYTHING. Kind of a bummer but it's worth seeing at least once. (FYI: it was better the second time I watched it)

Tonight I just came back home from watching a film at my theater with my sister called The Roommate!

This movie actually surprised me a bit. I honestly wasn't expecting more then some stupid ridiculous teeny bopper thriller film but it was actually quite terrifying. Meester did pretty well with portraying the super creepy and bipolar "messed up in the head" roommate. This easily became my worst nightmare when it comes to ever having to live with someone I don't know, which I don't think will ever happen, but I know now that I will make sure that that will never happen! And of course, during the dark scenes, I was the only one trying to contain myself from laughter. I'm thinking that's just how I deal with unnatural ridiculous happenings in life, or maybe I'm just demented? Either way, I think this movie is worth seeing for sure. :)

INSIDIOUS

Last week I went to another midnight show with my good friend Josh Loera and we decided to go see Insidious! :)
The movie began with all sorts of cheesy and I absolutely adore that about thriller/horror filmmaking! Some movies like this try too hard to make the movie exceptionally realistic when the storyline is obviously fictional and not honestly sincere so I encourage anything and everything ridiculous when it comes to films like this! Overall, I really enjoyed Insidious. There were many thrilling parts to the film that I did not expect at certain times so the cliche of a thriller film was sent away with this one! Some scenes were also exceptionally creepy even to a sincerely creepy girl such as myself. Anyway, I encourage watching this one! I'd say it is even worth buying a ticket for at a first run theater and definitely worth purchasing on DVD!
