The Green Lantern, Super 8, Anger Management

Super 8 is a J.J. Abrams masterpiece. As told from a friend, "Super 8 is a mix between Lost, E.T., and The Goonies." And what a perfect mix that would be in my opinion! Such humor was shown through these new faces of children stars to come! You can't get over how hilarious a pyro with braces can be or for me, the nerdy kid with the camera that wants to shoot horror flicks. And the credits idea to actually show the film they made? Amazing! I really would love to see this one again! Definitely one of the best films of the year so far.

I hate to break it to anyone who hasn't seen The Green Lantern yet who actually reads my blog, but it was an unfortunate let down. I was really hoping for the best with this one, but to no avail. The acting wasn't bad but the dialogue was just extremely poor and there was a lot of scenes put into this film that were unneeded and/or too long. My boyfriend that was with me watching this film ended up having to leave for about 10 minutes and come back to the movie due to the fact that he might implode with agitation due to the fact of his extreme boredom through a slow spot in the film. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this one. Sure, Netflix it if you want, but I don't really think it's worth your time.

Anger Management is just one of those films you watch because of the cast. Some parts of this film are hilariously funny while others lack in comedic relief, but instead agitate you to an incredible degree, but that's probably the idea of what Sandler is going for with the crazed anger management program he has to endure for no reason at all. Either way, it's a pretty good solid laugh if you're bored and flipping through the channels one day like I was.
